The total cryptocurrency market cap has lost $1 billion over the past 24 hours. Yesterday, the total market cap was $207 billion but it has slightly dropped to $206 billion over the past few hours.
The 24-hour trading volume meanwhile has stagnated at the $13 billion mark during this timeframe, with the market more or less trading sideways.
Bitcoin price analysis
The Bitcoin price has also been trading sideways over the past 24 hours. With no significant news to move the prices higher, the leading cryptocurrency has been trading between the $6,300 mark and $6,400. It is currently trading at $6,411
The 24-hour trading volume has increased by $200 million. Yesterday, BTC’s daily trading volume was $4.4 billion but it now stands at $4.6 billion.
BTC’s weekly chart also shows that the coin has been trading mostly between the $6,300 region and $6,400 region, with slight peaks above the $6,500 mark in between.
Ethereum price analysis
Ethereum price has added nearly 3% over the past 24 hours. The second largest cryptocurrency was trading at $288 per coin yesterday but has now gone up to $290. Ethereum’s sister coin, Ethereum is pumping ahead of its listing on Coinbase.
Ethereum’s daily trading volume has dipped, however, falling from $2 billion to $1.7 billion over the past 24 hours.
Despite the recent price recovery, ETH price is still 19% down over the past seven days. ETH was trading at $361 a week ago but has declined to its current $290.
Ripple price analysis
The payment-based cryptocurrency has been stagnant at the $0.288 level over the past 24 hours. The market has been rather stable, which has led to some cryptocurrencies recording low gains or losses.
The 24-hour XRP trading volume has dropped from $279 million to $272 million. That, however, hasn’t affected the price that much.
XRP has lost 17.6% of its value over the past one week. A look at its weekly chart shows that the coin was trading at $0.34 but is now currently trading at $0.28
EOS price analysis
EOS has dipped a bit to trade at $4.72 after reaching a peak of $4.91 yesterday. The price of the DApp and smart contract cryptocurrency has been trading sideways with no significant loss or win.
The 24-hour trading volume has increased to $650 million after dipping to $616 million yesterday.
The fifth largest cryptocurrency by market cap has lost 17% of its value over the past seven days. It was trading at $5.62 a week ago but has slipped to $4.72 during that timeframe.
Litecoin price analysis
Like EOS discussed above, Litecoin price has remained stabilized at the $56 mark. The 24-hour trading volume meanwhile has dropped from $266 million to its current volume of $229 million.
Bitcoin’s sister coin has lost 8% of its value over the past seven days. It was trading at $62 a week ago but has declined to its current $56, with dips below that in between.
